Sunny M Forest Field Trip
Sunny M Forest Field Trip
When: Wednesday, September 20, 2023, from 4-6pm
Where: Winthrop Trail area (directions will be in registration link)
Methow Conservancy Senior Ecologist Julie Grialou will lead you on a tour of one of the forested sections of the Sunny M Ranch, to discuss stand and habitat conditions, share forest management ideas, and address forest health. You'll even have an opportunity to core some trees.
Julie also knows a thing or two about wildlife, weeds, and native plants, so even though this tour is focused on the forest, don't be surprised if you end up learning about the animals and plants that inhabit the property as well.
This is a walking tour on and near a double track trail with an uneven surface in the Winthrop Trail area. It's not an overly ambitious physical expedition, but it does require walking over gravel and rocks, and up short steep slopes, as well as off-trail on the forest floor. Please contact Ashley@MethowConservancy.org if you have questions about the terrain.
Space is limited; registration required. Free. Register HERE.
