Two-Day Winter Tracking Course with David Moskowitz
Winter Tracking: February 10-11, 2024
Spend two days in the field with professional wildlife tracker, naturalist, and educator David Moskowitz in this Cybertracker certification course.
David has an approach that is highly interactive, with "test" questions starting in the first moment of class— he actively engages participants in identification and interpretation of tracks and signs, and allows plenty of time for questions and discussion. This style is an excellent way to learn and investigate, whether or not you answer enough questions correctly to attain a Cybertracker Track & Sign Certification. Certificates are awarded on four levels. Class size is limited to 10 people; lodging and food not provided. 18+ or 16+ with parent enrollment.
Our tracking events tend to fill really fast, so we are testing out a new lottery-based system. Registrations are due on or before January 7. Registrants will receive an email update on January 8 offering a spot in the course or confirming a place on the waiting list in the case of a cancellation. If you are offered a spot, you will have 48 hours to confirm your registration and pay.
Cost is $350 on a credit card or $325 for cash or check. Scholarships are available to participants under age 30 through the Miles Hefker Fund. This fund is intended to provide access to a young person who might not otherwise be able to participate in the course. Scholarship may also extend to parents of participants under 18 years old. If you don't meet the Miles Hefker Fund criteria but would still like to participate on a scholarship, please reach out!
