Summer starts now, and our quaint valley is bustling with the energy of the solstice. Vacationers, part-timers, and locals alike are vibrating with the excitement of what comes next. The high country is opening up, and the Tetris game of summer scheduling is in full swing. Who's visiting? When? Where's the snowline? Where are we going backpacking? How's the river flowing? What day should we garden this week? It's a welcome flood of life's most important questions. At their root, how can we squeeze every ounce of joy out of all this sunshine? My two cents: don't overthink it - it's summer in the Methow Valley. Just make sure you spend it outside!
