Four Thoughts: Sharing Connections to the Methow Valley
When: Tuesday, December 3, 2024, 7pm (Doors at 6:30pm)

The Methow Conservancy is pleased to invite the community to its annual Conservation Awards and Four Thoughts presentation, where four community members will share their thoughts on connecting with land and connecting with community.

This year’s speakers are:

  • John Sirois, Traditional Territories Advisor for the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation and a Methow Descendant
  • Don Ashford, KTRT Owner and artist
  • Elyse Darwood, Principal at Liberty Bell Jr/Sr High
  • Clara Hoffman, Program Coordinator at Home Range Wildlife Research

The evening will begin with some social time and a chance to connect with friends and neighbors. At 7pm we will present our annual conservation awards: the Susie Stephens Award for providing outstanding volunteer service to the Methow Conservancy and the Ken White Award for carrying on the legacy of Methow Valley conservationist Ken White.

The Four Thoughts presentation will follow, using a watch-party format. Four pre-recorded talks will be projected on the big screen, while audience members munch on free popcorn. Some of the guest speakers will be in attendance and available to answer questions after the presentation.

One part party, one part film screening, and 100% Methow Valley, this event is the perfect way to celebrate another year of loving the land. Admission, lemonade, and popcorn are free. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.

This is one of our most anticipated events of the year, and we are so excited to see you there!
